We want Christmas wrapping paper without Santas, pixies and goblins.
We do not want to be constantly bombarded with Santas wherever we go. - It is nausiating, it make us want to puke!
No to Santas as Christmas decorations.
No to children being indoctrinated into "believing in" Santa.
No to the misconception that Santa songs are Christmas carols.
Let Christianity be Christianity and let paganism be paganism.
Santa Trash
Why on Earth has Santa slipped in as a part of the Christmas "scenery"? There are Santas in shopping centres everywhere. You can bet that there will be a Santa in any given shopping centre, on posters, packaging and catalogues. In this way, the real Christmas message is perverted into something quite different.
This is a ridiculous situation!
What exactly is a Santa? It is an ugly figure that encourages us to buy more and more. If you tell a child that Santa does not exist then he or she starts to cry! What kind of beliefs are we giving our children? Why do we lead them to latch onto a bogus, fantasy figure with little meaning only to feed them disappointment later? Everyone knows that Santa is a silly fiction, so why do we let ourselves be bombarded by it? Santa has nothing to do with Christmas. As we seem to be unable to give Christmas a significant meaning, we would rather ignore the absurdity of this Santa thing and let it persist. Spare and save us from all this Santa garbage!
No to Santa!
For me, this enormous fixation with Santa is a symptom of a deeper underlying illness in society. If we no longer have any kind of faith then we should take the consequences of that rather than filling the barren emptiness with nonsense and silliness. Has life become so utterly empty that we must fill it with Santa figures? If so, it is a sad indication that something has gone tragically wrong.
