Inspired by Scheuer
This organ is made by Flentrop Orgelbouw, the Netherlands in 1982. The concept is inspired by the work of the German Johann Christoff Scheuer (born 1776 in Emlichheim), who was active in the Netherlands as an organ builder from 1801 til 1843. In this year he finished his most important organ for the Broeren-church in Zwolle, just 200 yards from the church Flentrop built this organ for.
The inspiration (no copying) is for example present in the choice of stops. The Positive has many flutes including a 1 foot stop, which is typical for Scheuer. His style is also present in the choice for an Openfluit 8' on the pedal, in the details of the construction of the pipe work like the form of the labium and details of construction of the reeds.

I was organist of this organ from 1982 to 1985.
