- The method and tools are used to safely transfer modules and other
objects from a vessel moving in the sea to a platform without using
cranes, and without risk of collision between cargo and vessel.
Lifting may also be performed under the platform, where cranes cannot
reach.
-
- The platform cranes have certain limitations. May be the capacity
is not sufficient, may be you have to install
equipment out of the reach of the crane, or may be the crane capacity
has to be de-rated because of the DAF ? Look how we solve this problem
!
-
- The
PEF
method makes it safe and easy to install deck sections like life boat platforms
in areas out of the reach of the platform cranes. The method saves
time, money, hot work, temporary shut-down etc.
-
- The design and installation method makes it easy to increase the capacity
on existing platforms. The method takes advantage of a combination of
the heavy lift method, the cassette design and the attachment
alternatives to the platform.
-
- The design and fabrication method
called LMEF opens up for an "open access" parallel logical
fabrication schedule with very few activities on the critical path.
The method reduces project execution time, accepts late arriving
equipment without extra cost and improves the productivity by 35%.
-
- The design and fabrication method
called IPEF makes it possible to fabricate a strong and fully
integrated platform topsides thus saving significant amount of
structural steel, and at the same time benefit from the "open
access" fabrication method as well as the offshore installation
method.
-
- The
TRC platform
designs and efficient fabrication methods for platforms will reduce initial capital
expenditure, reduce time between project start and first oil, lower
the cost of maintenance, lower the cost of platform- and system
extensions and make the platform and its systems re-usable thus also
considerably improving the project Net Present Value.
-
- Tools to enhance the capacity of existing
platform cranes by reducing the dynamic
amplification and protecting the crane and cargo during load transfer,
is also a spin-off from this development.
- In
order to simplify pull-in of umbilicals and pipelines to satellite and
manifold stations as well as platforms, TRC has developed a sub sea
pulling machine. The state of the art of making pull-ins is
normally conducted by a surface vessel with a winch. Due to the water
depth and wave motion, a snap action may occur making the umbilical
head shoot into the receiving bell-mouth. This may cause damages to
the head and clamping mechanisms. To overcome these problems, TRC has
developed a pulling machine that takes full control over the pull-in,
and at the same time allow the vessel to pull with high speed through
the pulling machine when the umbilical head is far away.
- Suspension
bridges fabrication method developed by TRC is probably
the only way you can build and erect large suspension bridges through
yard fabrication combined with installation of any size fully finished
bridge girder sections. In some projects, even a full-span orthotropic
steel girder may be installed in one piece with rails, lighting and
asphalt. The method does not need cranes for the installation, reduces
the site team, saves time, improves quality and productivity.
