CASSETTES INSTEAD OF MODULES.

Since the PEF installation method grant full- and minute control over the object during installation, the modules could benefit from being designed as cassettes. This means that the module is designed with well defined interface areas to the platform and other cassettes in order to reduce offshore hook up time, hot work and labor cost.

This rendering shows a typical gas turbine driven water injection cassette during installation. The interface area has been prepared with isolating valves for water, fuel etc. and connectors for the control systems.

This particular one was proposed to be fabricated as an integrated aluminum base / tank system and foundation, and the unit clad with stainless steel soundproofing panels. The air intakes, exhaust pipes or waste heat recovery units are separate, and installed above the cassette on one common frame.

Such cassettes may be gas lift cassettes, water treatment cassettes and even control rooms, living quarters or temporary workshop cassettes.
