Transportation - how to get to Teide

Mountains :

Tenerife - Pico de Teide - Transportation - Guajara (2718 m) , Montana Pasajiron (2529 m), Montana de Roque (2198 m) - Montana Blanca (2748 m) - Los Roques de Garcia - Tips - The permit

Your choice depends on your needs. It is usual to rent a car which gives much greater flexibility but it is possible to make it based only on public transport as I did. Make sure you get a card called a Bono-bus card from the Titsa terminal, you will then get up to 50 % discount on your fare price no matter where you are going or how often (till the money on it runs out). There are a lot of companies offering guided tours of Tenerife or the national park if you want to go to the summit of Teide beware of the following: All the trips going up to the national park are probably called "Teide-tour", that does not mean that it includes a trip to the summit, most of the these guided tours don’t even take people up in the cable car. It’s usually a quick trip to the lower cable car station and a chance to visit the souvenir shop, café and toilets.

The public buses are called Titsa.
