2004:

12.04: Easter trials in Sweden. Once more I went to Sweden for one of they fun races. And once more I was riding the elite sections. Except this time, they weren't all that fun. The sections had a difficulty level like national swedish championships. I am talking huge steps, man! I had to punch some sections so the whole team could make it on the time. And I carried the teams water and snuffboxes as well. But I also had some good rides every now and then. Great practise. Lars Erik had 24 points, and me like 140 or something...

2003:
9.11: I went to Sweden with team mates Benny and Thomas to have some fun on the traditional fathers day event in Kinna. It was a great event and I had a lot of fun. I had a hard time at first getting used to the Montesa but I felt more confident at every section. The whole events is just for fun. The good elite riders has to use an old or small bike. Benny and Thomas used an 80ccm. I was happy I had a bigger bike to get through the elite sections. The ride was a blast. And I won a pink silk tie.

4.10: Norwegian championship for teams, Molde. This competiton is in many ways the highlight of the year among the norwegian competitons. It is the end of the season(which really is nothing no celebrate, but we do) and everyone is exited and enjoyes the team work. The local organiser did a great job. Crossover sports was the smallest unite represented with only 3 persons. I rode together with Lene Fevang and here friend Henning Gjorstad was our team manager. He had never seen a trials bike before, and Lene had barely seen one in 10 years. But what a team! And what a extremely good job they did! It was SO good. We had great fun. We actually ended up in third position. Thank you guys, for a superb weekend in all the ways.

6-7.09: Finals, Norwegian cup and Norwegian championship, Oslo. The cup final was held on Satureday. I first thought that we had the same sections both days. But it turned out to be complete different ones. So I rode the first lap only to save my back for the next day, thinking that was more important. You got to think tactic as well in this game. Lene won the cup. I think I did the right thing saving myself to Sunday.
It turned out to be a wet and slippery day, but that was equal for all of us. The sections was quite demanding, they could have been to easy in sunny weather so I thought the rain was a good thing. I had an enourmus temper during the competitionm and I have no idea were all the rage came from. But it actually works for me. I know it's a bad thing shouting and swearing in the woods but then the anger goes away for the next section. The team worked very well. Old man Minken did his job as a minder and I did mine as the rider. Even my old bike cooperated! We rode 15 sections, 2 laps. I used short up to 5 and a half hour which was maximum time. The sections was pretty good. Some stuff we needed throttle on and some narrow rolling rocks sections were smooth riding was the trick. I ended up 2. on 66 points, 5 points behind Linda Meyer. I am pleased with my riding. The best news that day was anyway that I am on the TdN team. I am looking forward to participate at the Tdn again, last (and only) time was in La Bresse 2001 were we won.

30.08: Fifth round, Norwegian Cup, Nesodden. Nesodden has a quite small area, but they had expanded with some new sections this time. There was a lot of small rolling stones and slippery roots at the new parts of the area. Some of the sections was good. But in some you got the feeling you were only riding around the main line, Elite for men. Already in section one it didn't feel like my day. I had a hard time finding grip and I struggeled trough the sections. I only had three cleans the whole competition, but that actually saved the day in the end. We were three girls on 50 points, and I had the most cleans of us. I ended up 2. No one could do anything with first position. Lene had a brilliant second lap with 15 points. Good ride!

09-10.08: Nordic championship, Kyrkslätt, Finland. We were five girls from Norway travelling together. As always on girls trips there where a lot of giggeling and talking into the night so I think we all were very tired on Sunday...Satureday was the individual event. There were 9 sections, four laps. The sections was quite easy but you had to have full focus all the time. I had a good ride, the painkillers (I pass in drugstests with them) lasted until only one lap remained. Even though I new I had kept my feet solid on the footpegs I got quite suprised when I was told after the last section that I had won. Number two had not even finnished the last lap...I have to admit this win tasted good after one and a half year with only problems. It feels good to convince myself I can still ride after the year with injuries. The finnish girl Säde Korpinen came second and Lene third.

Sunday was a team contest and we had a girls team in the junior boys class. Unfourtunately I had used all my strength and consentration the day before, and the back bothered me. But I had good riders with me on the team and we fullfilled each other pretty good. We cheered each other on and had a good day together. I think I made history making four fives in one section before I got the damn bike out, good laugh there girls;)

26.07: Second round, european ladies cup, Cerreto Laghi, Italy. I didn't have high expectations to either the event or myself pre to the competition but is started out suprisely good. The back was stiff and aching but I din't care at first and I had some really good rides. But then it started to hurt even more and I got scared. I retired after 10 sections...It was a hard decission and I don't know if it was the pain or the retirement that made me weep the most...I would have ended up 5 after first lap even if I punched 5 the two last sections! Dam it! Laia was a class of her own as usual, my hero, HORE! Claire had bad luck in section two and damaged her knee. Maria had a good ride, she looks so steady and it is nice to watch her ride, you go girlie!

11-14.07: 4Jours de la Creuse, Sardent. My favourite event since I first rode it in 95. I had a great time on the bike. The sections was really hard some times, but seemed to ease a little every day. There were a lot of steps! Awesome! It was very hot and that made the whole thing quite demanding. I actually feel sick when it is about 40 degrees celcius...My poor father struggled even more than me in the heat and I ordered him to work as paddock chief instead of minder after one and a half day. I rode the rest of the event with Lene and the best catchers and riding companions ever, Tim and Nick Pearson! Thanks a lot guys!

05.07: First round of european ladies cup, Maisse in France. I was riding together with Iselin, a norwegian prodigy at 17. We shared a minder but he only made the first lap and then his bike didn't start. We stressed through most of the last lap racing against the time. I thought the sections was pretty hard as there were no easy sections and no really difficult ones, just hard work all over. My confidence was really bad and I felt weird and not comfortable trying to get back in the game. I finished the competition thanks to the french teams physiotherapist and some pain killers taking away some of the back pain. I can't really say I enjoyed myself.

21.05: Fourth round of the norwegian cup, west coast, Ålesund/Skodje. This is an area I know well as I have lived there half a year, I always have a fun ride going there. I had a good ride the first lap until I made a stupid five in the last section. My back started to hurt early because of the long car drive the day before. The second lap I just rushed through to get done with it. I ended up in 3 again. Lene won and Eirin second. The sections was in made in a lot of new places and some of them was quite funny and some a little to...flat..There was no steps at all.

10.05: Second round of the norwegian cup, held on the south cost, Søgne. I have never been to this area before, I was impressed, they have a really good riding area. They didn't use it very well then...I had a shit shit shit ride and all went wrong. I shouldn't take that out on the sections. But they were hard to ride in a bad mood and a heavy cold. I had heaps of fives and didn't enjoy the day at all. Well, that's enough negative talk from me now. Better luck next time.

26.04: The first round out of six in the norwegian cup was held this weekend in Bergen. I have always loved riding in Bergen and it was good this time as well. I had a good time on the bike and really had a good ride in some of the sections. But overall it was too much insecure riding which made me take a lot of fives. Really stupid fives...I ended up in third position behind Kjersti and Lene. It rained like it always does and a great deal of the sections were muddy. My back got quite stiff in the cold and wet weather but it felt a lot better than last competition.

22.03: Nordic competiton in Viborg, Denmark. The first out of four nordic races in trials. Only the last round counts for the women so this was just an open race. I was exited whether the body would last through the 5 hours or not. My only goal was to finish. Luckily for me the sections was rather easy so it wasn't any hard workout for my back and elbow. I had a very typically "back after injury" ride with a lot of 1 dabs for safety. I was not very happy with the result as I never fet like I had the flow and nothing went easy. But I ended up second five points(i think) behind Lene.
As for the boys class, Lars Erik Fremstad was the first norwegian ever to take a win in a nordic round! He and Benny rode together and both did very well. Benny ended up in third place:)
The back started to bug me in the evening and I did not get much sleep. But hopefully some of it was some muscular tension because of my insecurity. Time will show...

2002:
03.08:
I started very carefully to train and ride in july, and rode the 4 days of la Creuse in France 18th to 21th of july. But I had to take it very easy, so my scores were rather high... Today I competed in a "Kick Start" (sort of an arena trial) here in Norway. I was leading the competiotion all the way until the final section, and was rather pleased with my riding (for the first time this year!) But in the last section I made a stupid 5, and ended third...But still, I was happy with my performance.

03.06: The first and second round of the Norwegian Championship took place in Bergen 25th and 26th of May. Due to back pain and school work I was not very well prepared, and knew that the other girls had been training a lot this winter. But still I wanted to ride, and the first round went well and I won. But it was too much for my back (discal hernia), I could not sleep all night, and the day after, for the second round, I barely made it, and ended in third place. The weekend after, 1. & 2. June, it was time for the two next rounds. I was in a really bad shape, but wanted to try...After 5 sections I had to give in - it was not possible to ride because of the back pain. The next day was even worse, and I did not start at all. And that was that...No Championship-medals for me this year! On the contrary...I was rewarded with 5 weeks of imobility!
