The Greenland Dog

It is a strong breed with very little sickness and faults. You seldom find a Greenland dog who does not want to work for his food. A strong dog with a simple mind; that is how I know the Greenland dog.

The Greenland dog is good at communicating; it has more "words" than most other "cultivated" breeds. This makes it easy to understand, both for humans and other dogs.

- Do you like to be in the mountains? Are you often outdoors in wintertime? Do you want someone to keep you company and pull your baggage? Then a Greenland dog can be the best dog for you.

- Are you not THAT extreme, but you like to be out in the forest and nature, perhaps with your whole family? The Greenland dog can still be a good dog for you.

The Greenland dog is a friendly companion, modest and easily satisfied if;

- You understand its need for care and human contact
- You let the dog exercise its body properly, minimum once every week
- You give it obedience training

The Greenland dog needs an owner who define clear limits for accepted behaviour. When this is done well, the dog will remember.
