Sunderland I L2167 (DA-H)

This image shows a Sunderland III. Copyright Dave James.
This aircraft belonged to 210 Sqdn. and took off from Invergordon to examine the Oslo area. When it flew over Fornebu, it was attacked by two Messerschmitt 110's from I/ZG76. It soon caught fire before it exploded and crashed into the ground near Sylling. All besides Sgt. George died in the crash. He managed to survive a 1000 meter drop without parachute because of very deep snow. He passed away just a few years ago.
The Sunderland was claimed by ObLt. Hansen in Me110 M8+JH, but Lt. H.Lent were also involved in the attack.
