This is a breif
introduction on how to use the UVMapper to create a template for texture
or transparency maps for poser.
To
start off with you will have export your Poser character as an wavefront
object. You will first be asked to select the range of frames to export.
Select single frame. The heirarchy selection window will then appear, make
sure that the figure you wish to map is crossed off. Thereafter you can
save you obj file.
Now
open the UVMapper. Select the File menu-Load Model
A
template of your model should now appear in the window.
You
may want to edit the size of the template you are going to create. To do
this go to the Edit menu-Settings
The
User Settings box will appear. The X and Y values are the width and height
of your texture map in pixels. Here you can enter in a new size of your
texture map. The bigger the map the better the detail, just keep in mind
that large maps will slow poser down.
Now
you can save your texture map, just go to File menu-Save Texture. When you
open the bmp file in your image editing tool, keep in mind that the color
mode is set to index color, you will have to set it to RGB before you start
working on it.
