ISCSG in interview with Frank Jensen Frank : I`m also a big fan of the English club Arsenal. I have supported them since 1989. Anyway, I think FCSG is a great club and that`s why I became a fan of FC St. Gallen. For how long have you been a supporter of St. Gallen? Frank : I have supported St. Gallen since 1997. Do you have connections in Switzerland? Frank : Yes I have contact with a lot of peoples in Switzerland. I have contact with Dieter Froehlich that works for St.Gallen, and also very many supporters of FCSG. What kind of influence do they have on you for your "job" as president of SGSC Norway? Frank : They have very much influence of my work. If there are something that someone doesn`t like on the page I will remove it, and everyone can give us tips about new things that we can do about our supporters club and our homepage to make it better. Why did you found SGSC Norway? Frank : That`s because I love FC St. Gallen, and I hope to make St.Gallen football club more known, in Norway and maybe other countries as well. SGSC Norway has now 30 members. The most of them live in Switzerland. Why are you thinking that they need a supporters club from another country? You know that there are many other supporter clubs which are located In Switzerland. So the supply is already here, but why a Norwegian supporters club? Frank : Yes we have mostly members from Switzerland. The reason that it`s called SGSC Norway is because I`m from Norway, and since I live in Norway I wanted to call it SGSC Norway, but as you said, we have mostly members from Switzerland, but I hope that more people from Norway will join as well. Swiss football isn`t that known here in Norway, but I hope it will be with this supporters club. There are also a possibility that we will change our name to for example " The international supporters club of St.Gallen" This can be something that we can do, but we will come back to that later. What kind of people are the Norwegian members of SGSC Norway? What is their relationship to St.Gallen/Switzerland? The members that are from Norway is friends of mine, and they haven`t got any special relationship to St.Gallen, but hopefully we will get more members from Norway that has a special relationship to our club. The SGSC Norway has now 30 members. It`s a lot, when you compare it with other supporter clubs. At the moment there is only a communication between the members and you, Michi Markus and Stefan. That means it`s more an online-supporters club. Do you plan some events where the members can meet each other? Or will SGSC Norway still exist further on this anonymous base? Frank : We are of course thinking about doing things that can make our supporters club better, and then we can for example do things so the members can contact each other and meet each other. We are now planning to make a own member page on our web site, that will content information about our members. This page will have a password that will be given out to the members of SGSC Norway. Then the members of our supporters club can log in there and read more about the other members of our supporters club. It`s also up to the members if they want to have there names and that kind of things there, but it will be more about this later. Hopefully we can make this page soon, but it will maybe take a little while too. When I look at your homepage and other "products" of your work as president I`m thinking that you need a lot of time to manage all this. How many hours per day do you work for the SGSC Norway? Frank : That depends on what we must update on our homepage, and that kind of things. I also get a lot of help from Markus, Michi, Stefan, and also other supporters of FCSG. There are some days that there isn`t much to do about our supporters club, but it can also be days where it`s very much to do. I think one day at the most I worked for around 5 hours about our supporters club, but usually I work around 30 minutes per day or something like that with our page. It depends on what has happened. What are the next projects of SGSC Norway that you are hoping to realize? Frank : A own member page on our homepage. We are also thinking about making own supporter club magazines, but that is just dreams and hopes at the moment. We will know more about this later, so check out our homepage to find the latest news or contact us on our e-mail address.
!! Be award of that SGSC Norway was ISCSG`s former name !!
