Gerry's Bar May 2007 Hello there, and welcome to my homesite, which consists of app. 90 pages !. Please ensure that your screen resolution is set to 1024x768 before you continue ! As you very soon will discover these pages consists mostly of travel stuff from Catalonia in Spain. I've been visiting this part of the world for the last 25 years, and these pages will reflect that. I know I've lost part of my heart to Catalonia and Costa Brava, but anyway, I live and work in one of the most beautiful parts of Europe. And I don't mean Catalonia ! I live in the heart of "The Fjords" in Norway, in Aalesund, on the northwest coast of Norway. If you click on the little image here, you'll be able to watch my hometown, exactly how it is now !
Spain
has always been a main target for tourists, especially from northern Europe,
and with its climate and friendly people this will not surprise anybody.
But Spain, and for me...Catalonia, is much more than sun and sandy beaches.
Catalonia is, in fact, an ancient "superpower" in the Mediterranean area, and this is clearly reflected in its culture and history. In fact, Catalonia ruled over most of Mediterranean, from Spain to Turkey. Even today, parts of Sardinia (Italy) speaks "catalá", catalan. Well, enough history, go see it for yourself !

This is Costa Brava !
Means "The brave coast", but till the early 60-ties this coast was called "Costa Lavante". I think Costa Brava explains the nature and impressions of this coast much better. Because this is really "The brave coast" ! Stiff cliffs, beautiful small beaches, and a stunning landscape.
So please feel free to discover this part of Spain through these humble pages. There are more then 90 of them, so take your time and see what Catalonia and Costa Brava can offer. Most of my pages have a lot of photos, so it might take some time to download them, depending on the speed of your Internet connection. I've made these pages with Macromedia Dreamweaver 4/MX , tested them successfully with Internet Explorer 6.0, Netscape 7, Mozilla Firefox 1.0, and Opera 7.4, and optimized them for a screen resolution of 1024x768 pixels.
