Equipment:

Troll- PCH from AAK are heavily padded and very comfortable for ski sailing and kiting. It is also quite easy to attach the sled (see picture) because of the metal-bows on the waist.

We have chosen movement Powpow that is a relatively light weight and wide twin tip ski. Powpow is very stable and have got a big turning-radius. This makes Powpow a great ski for kiting in high speed.
TURNING RADIUS: 26
NOSE WIDTH: 125
WAIST WIDTH: 92
TAIL WIDTH: 113

We are using Dynafit TLT thermo fit because they are light weight and compatible with the lightest and probably the strongest alpine touring binding in the world.

We are using Dynafit Tourlite Tech the lightest and probably the strongest alpine touring binding in the world.

We are using Rab Latok suit with eVENT- membrane. Our meaning is that eVENT beats Gore-Tex everywhere but promotion and that eVENT is the only membrane that really breathes. The one piece design eliminates bulk and weight around the waist and total weight is only 1 kg. We think , especially when wearing a harness, this suit- solution will work perfectly. The suit has 4 big pockets and an nice and big hood. We are really looking forward to test this suit on Greenland.

We are using the NORMAN -set. This jacket/ elephant-foot-solution save the expedition from several kilos and in combination with a bivi, this solution will keep us warm trough the coldest nights.
The NORMAN-set is designed and produced by the responsible expedition leader; Niklas Norman.

StormSure is a flexible glue that that we find perfect for every soft reparation or modification of equipment. We have almost thrown away our sewing things because in most cases StormSure works better. Together with the StormCure Accelerator, full cure will take only 2 hours. StormSure is also a perfect "seam sealer". www.StormSure.com

At Seilmaker Iversen in Bergen we found a very nice castor and a shackle that we put together. This HOLT-castor is possible to open.

We use Oakley.

We will bring a helmet- lens for our camcorder to shoot even during our highest speeds.

We will bring a Mountain-leader-first aid-kit from Lifesystemes

Mainly for safety reasons we will bring a Bugaboo- bivy with eVENT- membrane from Integral Designs. In case we loose each other or the tent, we will still have a shelter from the storm. The bivy can also be used inside the tent in case of extreme cold weather.

Trango 4 from Mountain hardwear has 4 main poles with 7 crossing- points and this concept is without doubt far more wind-resistant compared to the tunnel-tent-concept. Another benefit we appreciates with this kind of tents are the large mesh pockets inside the inner tent.

To save a lot of big pictures, we will bring this card reader with 40 GB storing space. It has a nice, big screen and play music and movie files. Kameraservice på Karl Johan selger denne.

The main problem when kiting with a sled is that the sled tip over. This solution was an idea from Børge Ousland that we have developed and tested. This model has been tested in more than 90 km/h without any signs on instability. This is possible because our catamaran-sled is flexible and wide. We pull our sled with a 15 meter long rope (with elastics) to have some "working space". To make our catamaran-sled even more solid, we use double layer of sleds, so all together we use 4 sleds each. The only thing we fear is big sastrugies, because the front of the sled is very low.

We are using a SolarRoll14 from Brunton for clean supply of power.

We are using JOJO-ET- kites size 7m2 and 9m2 and Parawings 5m2 and 10m2.

We will bring a tube to cross rivers of melted snow...
