TRENDSETTER CASHA

Casha is an english import,from one of the older and biggest breeders in England, Kennel Trendsetter. She have her roots in wery good blood lines with great sucsess in the show ring , as well as wery good temperament.

She came to us in 1997, 6 months old.

Casha is still a very happy girl, but now she is enjoying her new status as retired.  She has had three wonderful litters Shavano's B-litter, C-litter and E-litter.  She has also retired from the showring, due to an unfortunate event almost a year ago.  She jumped to catch a snack, but when she landed, she hurt herself, and even though the vet. never found anything wrong with her, she still to this day has a slight limp in her right hind leg.  She has however made her mark in the breeding of Ridgeback's in Scandinavia, as she has brought in some of the most wonderful temper and the rare ability for a ridgeback to want to work, as one of her son's is the only ridgeback ever to be an officially approved rescue-dog in Norway.  She has even produced show-champions, in addition to the most important of all, beeing a truly wonderful family-dog for us.  It is with great pleasure we see that even other breeders, both here and abroad have started to use some of her offsprings in their breeding programme.   

All of this of course confirms what we hoped when we saw her some six years ago, when we visited Peter and Lizzy at kennel Trendsetter in England.  We can in true honesty say that we have not regreted bringing her to Norway for a single minute.  She was, is and will probably forever be the kindest and happiest dog any of us have ever had the privilege to live with.
