Momentum Shift will be released in the US, May 22nd through Candlelight Records!

February 16th 2007

It's 2007 and Scariot has been around for ten years! What better way to celebrate than releasing a new killer album. It's been almost three years since I started working and recording, and I never expected it would take that long to finally have this album in my hands. The reasons for the delays are many, but not important, as the fourth piece in the Scariot discography is finally availabe to you guys! I would especially give my thanks to Asgeir Mickelson and Øyvind Hægeland for making it all real and taking Scariot to a new level (hence the title). There were never one rehearsal for this album, though I never doubted it would be a great album. When it was clear that Steve DiGiorgio would join on bass, I was both flattered and proud. Man, he's been playing in two of my all time fave bands; Death and Testament! I also appreciate and I'm thankful that Steinar Gundersen and Lars K. Norberg, both from Spiral Architect and Satyricon, would lend their talents on Momentum Shift.

Finally, a big thanx to old and new fans, my close family and friends.

Hi guys…and girls!

I guess some of you are quite confused and surprised right now. Well, the fact is that Scariot NEVER was dead and buried! As the news said on the website, the remaining members decided to go separate ways after the departure of our singer. But Scariot was never over. Damn it, I’ve worked so hard since I started the band in 1997. No way am I just giving it up. I had some real cool material going on and with total support from my label, I just had to accomplish this album. I`ve had some great help from musicians I respect a lot, and the result turned out great. Some question all the line-up changes and musical directions Scariot is facing. And honestly speaking, there’s nothing better than a stable, mutual-minded and co-operative band, but so far I’ve failed to find these elements. But the music has always been there. At this point, I consider Scariot a studio band, and as far as the music is concerned, I can only follow my creative instincts…

Many ask themselves if this is the final word from Scariot, and all I can say is that time will tell. Meanwhile, enjoy and Peisa Paa!
