Jan Øyvind and I had
not been North of Fraser before (not including Cairnes). Therefore we
decided to leave after school Thursday night to see Airlie Beach and do
a sailing trip out to Whitsunday Islands and get back down by Thursday
the next week.

|
 |
The plan was to do a
couple of dives at Bundaberg on our way up to Airlie Beach, which is
almost halfway up. But because of bad wether the dive trip was cancelled,
and the diving was substituted with a game of golf. |

On this golf course
in Sarina, there was a lot of kangaroos jumping around. In my hometown I’ve seen
a couple of rabbits and a fox on the golf course,
here it was a hips of kangaroos. |
 |
We drove to this
waterfall the second day in A.B. because of bad wether we needed something to
do, I say this because waterfalls is not a unusual thing for a

The picture on top is
Shute Harbour, which is were all the motorboats are departing from and
lays 15min further out from A.B.
To the left is a
picture of the people and the sailboat that took us out to the Whitsunday
Islands, a happy gang and it was nice to get to know them all. The boat
was a solid steel sailboat weighing 20 tons, this boat was builded in
the early 80s by a man that wanted to sail around the world with it, it
was a good boat in the hard winds that were some of the days.

It doesn’t show to
well, but the sea was kind of rough here, and on every second wave I got
dipped in the ocean. A fun ride |
 |
This is a sea snake,
the snake was just a few meters from ore boat when we first saw it, but
by the time I got to my camera it was to fare away to get a good picture
of it |

On top is a picture
of Whitehaven Beach, it is said to be the worlds whitest beach, anyway
it was incredible beautiful.
