2S	= partner (always) bid 2NT, after which a singleton is shown.
2NT	= 3+ spades.
3C/D	= 3+ suit.

2S - 2NT
3C/D	= singleton.
3H	= singleton spade.

If spades are trump:

2NT	= partner (always) bid 3C, after which a singleton is shown.
3new	= 3+ suit.

2NT - 3C
3R/H	= singleton.
3S	= singleton club.
