A 1C openings may be 3 card, but otherwise an
opening of 1C/1D show 4+card. Always open 1C if 4-4 in minor except when you have
4441 distribution. Then you should open in the middle suit.
1 over 1 promises a positive hand. Normal rules for suit length. With 6-12 HCP you may have a longer minor suit if you bid 1maj.
1NT : 6-10 (11) HCP. Denies 4 cards major.
2 over 1 (1¨ - 2§) 5+Clubs. 10+HCP.
Support to 2: Inverted minors. 10+HCP. 4+support and denies 4+major.
Jumpshift: 16+Points. Good (5)6+suit and no side suit.
2NT: Balanced invitational. Denies 4+major.
Support to 3: Pre-empt. 3-6 HCP. Normaly 5 card support..
Double jump shift: Void and good support. (In Woody a rebid of Void suit is Voidwood)
3NT: 13-15 HCP. Ballanced. Denies 4+major and 6+minor.
Support to 4: Unbalanced hand with 5+diamond support and 6+club support. Normally not 1.controls. Pre-empt.
4 in major: To play. Long suit and denies 2 ace values (trump king = ace).
4NT: 4 ace Blackwood.
NB!
Jumpshift should show a strong hand, but some also like to use it as weak. Just
be sure you play the same jumpshift as your pd.
Differences.
1 to 1
is walsh reply showing at least 6+Diamonds or 4+Diamons and GF hand. This mean
that we will bid 1/1/1
with 6-10 HCP even if we have a normal 1 bid. Check Walsh convention.
