Some people have been wondering if there's a good way to
fade an icon with PSP8. You may mess around with your own way
to fade an icon, but if you are too lazy do figure out yourself, you
may follow the instrctions underneath.
Use the Rectangle selector, set the "Feather" to 6, and remember
to tick the box for "Antialias" on.
Select the the bottom of the icon (remember that you can only give the
icon a fade when it is in the icon size, and before you set the icon to 256
colors only and transparent.)
Hit the Delete button from 3-10 times until the lower part of the icon fade
with the icon background.
This is how the icon will look like in both icon and transparent background after
you have done fading the icon. Afterwards it's setting the icon to atransparent
background. Remove the unsharp glow (remember to not remove the bottom part
of the icon that is faded if the Magic Wand tool selected that part as well). Save the icon, and you are done!
