The Naomi J. has been used as a permanent residence by the skipper Owen Morgan and the ship's dog Scuba since June 1992. During this period she has cruised extensively on the Swedish west coast and the southern coast of Norway.

In 1999 I sailed the Norwegian west coast to Ålesund in NW Norway where I spent a winter living in the guest harbour of that beautiful city and working at a factory that manufactures cardboard boxes for the fishing industry.

In 2000 I continued north from Ålesund to Sortland in Vesterålen where I worked through the winter, first at a herring packing plant, and then as a bricklayer.

In 2001 I sailed from Sortland to the North Cape, and will probably return to Sortland to stay there and work another winter before I start making tracks south towards warmer waters. You can read more about my travels on the Cruise Log pages.

Future cruising plans include extensive ocean cruising, hopefully including a circumnavigation of the globe.

If you are interested in my boat, my cruising plans, my dog or me, I would be delighted to hear from you, but please no unsolicited commercial e-mails and no file attachments. I connect to the net by cell-phone and Psion palmtop, and pay a lot for a slow connection. To find my e-mail address, please click on the link at the bottom of the page. You can follow my cruise by subscribing to the Naomi's meanderings mailing list. Please visit the mailing lists page to sign up.
