Gomoku Moro

Gomoku Moro is an implementation of the ancient Asian game Gomoku. The game was played as early as 700 AD in China. To read more about the game history have a look at this web page or the Wikipedia entry.

The word "moro" means "fun" in Norwegian.

This version of the game has several features. Here are some of them:

• Playing against the computer at different levels
• Undo/Redo of moves
• Showing hints
• Displaying help artifacts such as vectors and hot spots
• Gomoku (15x15) board layout or traditional Go (19x19) board layout
• Configurable time limit and depth limit for search algorithm

The game is currently available for the Qtopia application environment for handheld computers on Linux, X11 on Linux and for MS Windows desktop systems. Here is download information:

The program has been developed by <morosoft@start.no> and is currently released as freeware.
