to the homesite of
Galleri Thomasgaarden at Roros, Norway
The history of Thomasgaarden goes back to the end of
the 17th century. The farm acted probably as a residence for workers at Roros Copper
Works, and had farmhouse, cowshed and stable as customary at that time at Roros. Today
potter Torgeir Leander Henriksen and his family and wood carver Henry Solli lives here.
Thomasgaarden is also a gallery, café and workshop. Thomasgaarden is one of the most
visited attractions at Roros.
Here at this site we wish to give you a presentation of the place itself and the
products Torgeir L. Henriksen is making and a little bit about the techniques he is using. Please join
our little presentation with drawings by Rune Moan.
