A reference from Carel Weight,  Professor,  School of Painting,  Royal College of Art,  London,  7th February 1961.

Edward Eade is one of the most stimulating personalities amongst artists that I know.  He was a brilliant student and has developed as an artist regardless of modish fashions.  His work is characterised by great sincerity and he possesses the qualities of mind that demands constant experiment and the reassessment of values.  He never spares himself.  As a result his technical powers has been increasing to a great strength.  He is one of the best draughtsmen in the country.

He is one of the few artists who can talk well about painting and I have vivid memories of a series of lectures I attended by him.  They were of the highest order.
