In 1990 I initiated my studies at the University of Oslo. I finished my degree (cand.philol.) in 1998. First subject was the cumpulsory philosophy (examen philosophicum). Other subjects include French (mellomfag), religion history, moral philosophy and: Norwegian.

During my time as a student at the University of Oslo I had different jobs, two of which I stuck to for several years. I worked every summer 1992-2002 at the Kon-Tiki Museum

In 1995 I started working as an external advisor for the Norwegian language council, Norsk språkråd, where my job was to proofread and to survey the proofreading of school book manuscripts. From august 1997 till 2000 I worked there full time. From 2001 till 2007 I also worked at the largest Norwegian newspaper, VG.

Today I run a small firm (Rett norsk) in addition to working part time at the language council.
