Our Cattery was registered with FIFe in March 2001, and is located in Trondheim, Norway.
We register our kittens in NRR, and our local
Club is Trønderkatten.
The name of our Cattery, (N) In Medias Res, is chosen to
reflect the respect and admiration we have for the work that is
done in the past by Siamese breeders. The name itself derives from Latin, and translates loosely to
"into the middle of things" or "in the middle of the story". That
is what we are, what we have to work with is based on other peoples efforts, and hopefully we will
give our contribution to keep this lovely old breed as well.
This Cattery will remain small in size, every cat lives as a family pet and is treated with the love,
attention and respect every Siamese needs and demands. Our plan is to have a litter now and then,
not more than one a year on an average. When it comes to
breeding, things takes time, and even with the most careful
consideration and planning, things not always work out as
intended - or at least as one dreams of, as we are dealing with living creatures. This is not something
to haste into. With that said, we are pleased with our kittens so far. Our goal is to
breed happy, charming, well socialized Siamese, with a good
temper and health.
Siamese are just some of the most beautiful and elegant
animals that walks the surface of earth. And of course we will
aim to breed as good-looking and beautiful cats as we can. As we are totally convinced that the
Siamese is the perfect
pet, we will always have Siamese in the house as
a part of the family - breeding or not. Life
is probably long, and as that is our perspective, we will work at
a slow pace, aiming to raise beautiful and cozy family members.
We have always been intrigued by cats, and have had them around since early childhood. But even though our admiration and love of cats has been there from the start, it wasn't until we've got a couple of Siamese in the house we understood how much cat a cat can be. They are charming, intelligent, playful, talkative, demanding your attention, and very social. We consider them to be just fantastic, and they never stop to amaze us.
We have decided to focus our breeding program to work exclusively with purebred Siamese, cats with all-Siamese lines.
