waste handling system for hospitals
spring 1998
group project with Toril Tverberg
and Synnøve Digernes Stave

In connection with the development of RiT2000, a new regional hospital in Trondheim to be finished by 2010, the 3rd year students were engaged to find new solutions for a hospital's waste handling system, with an emphasis on handling it by kind of waste. Our group decided to take a closer look on the bedpan handling system. In the prototype part of the project we developed a functioning model of a machine to demolish disposable bedpans, in the ecodesign part we were evaluating if there is an environmental gain on using one-time-bed-pans. We all made an project web for the entire project and so did with we with our project. Unfortunately nothing but these images can be shown here for confidentiality reasons.
