16.12.03 - Winamp 5 is out
For those of you that didn't know. Today Nullsoft released their latest version of Winamp, entitled Winamp 5. A trusty Winamp user might've noticed that the latest version prior to this one was 3. The only reason for this that I've discovered is that 2+3=5... Whats new? The only revolutionizing about it is the integrated support for live streaming of TV and that this version is the first Winamp I've taken a liking to the default skin. I would also like to mention that Winamp 5 takes up around 1/6 of the memory that Winamp3 does. I recommend it to everyone that listens to MP3s on their computer.

30.03.03 - Latrine killed three!
This may sound like a bogus story
taken from an episode of the Simpsons or similar, but it's a true tale.
It all began when a Kenyan woman named Dora Mwabela lost her cellular phone
through the toilet ring of a public latrine. She put out a reward for 12USD
to whoever could retrieve her phone. Considering this reward suffice to keep
a Kenyan happy for two weeks there were alot of people who were willing to
take on the task.
The first person met his demise when he tore apart the toilets floor to gain access to it. He climbed down with the help of a ladder and never saw daylight again. The neighbour of the late cellular-hunter came looking for him, but fell through the floor and drowned. A friend of the two wanted to bring up the two bodies. He climbed down the ladder, but passed out halfway down from the methane (odor and colorless) gas. He died on the way to the hospital.

22.01.03 - Bomb alarm in Swedish shopping mall:
A few days ago a young Swedish couple were sitting at a cafe inside a Swedish shopping mall enjoying their lunch. A man approaches them and ask them if they would be so gentle to watch his suitcase for him while he did an errand. He claimed the content of the suitcase was too valueable to leave without some sort of depositum. The man in the twosome was a clever bloke. He took out his wallet and handed the stranger 3000 Swedish Kroner (approx: 400$). The man accepted the depositum and took off.
After roughly an hour they realized the stranger would not come back and they alerted the mall's security. The security people found the suitcase utterly suspicious and immedeatly drew the conclusion that the case most likely contained a bomb. The mall was evacuated and a bomb squad was contacted only to find out the case didn't contained anything, but an envelope. The envelope had a piece of paper in it saying: "Thank You".
08.12.02 - Woman bore a reptile inside her tummy:
The doctors were stunned when they opened a womans stomach and found 1.83 metre long snake inside it. "It was like something out of a horror movie", says Dr. Damien Perez one of the doctors in the New York ER.
The snake was white with dark stripes and was clearly alive judging by the wide open hissing mouth which implies that the snake is irritated. One of the nurses fainted and another one just started to scream.
The patient,
36 year old Patricia Roger had been complaining about stomach pains and was
driven to the hospital by her husband."I thought is was something she
had eaten" her husband said in an interview.
The doctors couldn't find any illness matching the symptoms she described.
She began to vomit violently and went into convulsions. They removed her clothes
and saw to their horror that there was something moving beneath her skin.
They X-rayed her, but couldn't believe their eyes. The woman had a snake inside
her stomach. At this point her heart stopped. The situation took an unforeseen
turn. There was no time to get her to an operating room so they had to operate
her immediatly. After the snake was removed she slowly recovered and continued
to pursue her normal life.
How could this have happened? Biologist: Martin Shone explains one theory: The snake has been livin in her large instestine, feeding from the food that passed through her gastrointestinal system and grown bigger and bigger as time passed. How it got there in the first place is explained like this by a research team: On a eg. a camping trip she drunk water from a river and swallowed snake eggs along with the water.
