A lot of people have waited for the follow up of Tadpoles 1998 debut EP "Hardsurf". The highly anticipated second release is
named "Pole Position", and as the title suggests, TadPole indeed proves with this record that they are one step ahead of the
competition! The band, located in Trondheim in Norway, still has got what it takes and shows everyone that they are able to
mix the best from metal and hardcore, even though this time around they have slowed down the pace a bit. Put this record on,
close your eyes, and you will become Michael Schumacher revving the engine hunting the pole position in Monaco.
TadPole, which is known as one of Norways best live acts in crowds that likes music of the more rough type, is the first band
out on the Tromsø-based label Fucking North Pole Records.
Excerpts from review by Marius Lien of Norwegian magazine "Natt&Dag"
"Some times it's quite alright to play hardcore. TadPoles new release will be out this May, and they have managed to make a
nice record for the summer holidays. Perfect for the beach, surfing and if you're in a bad mood; for street riots and mayhem.
The music is smooth and well paced - very nice! TadPole has actually made a varied and well produced punk/funk/hardcore
masterpiece. I'll enjoy the CD this summer, wearing shades while I cruise south in my newly stolen Cadillac: I am looking
forward to it."
TadPole are:
Arnt Grønås - vocal and guitar
Ørjan Dahl Olafsen - guitar and vocal
Trond Frønes - bass
Ståle Norum - drums
