When people talk about wild cats, they often talk about the large cats such as tigers, lions and cheetas. They often forgets smallest cats such as the bornean bay cat (catopuma badia). The bay cat is one of the rarest species of cats we know of. As the name indicates this cat lives on the Borneo island in south-east Asia. At this time we got only a few documented sightes on the cat. It was first described by Gray in 1874.

This site is dedicated to the bay cat. My hope is that people will understand how important the bay cat and other small cats are to the ecological envirement. Dr. Sanderson was kind enough to help me with confirmed information about the bay cat. Thank you.
