SYNOPSIS:
HOUSE OF MIRRORS
A screenplay by Dene ONeill
...then came the men of the west, bringing death in the
name of Kings and the White God...
Mexico - 1955
On the
eve of his wedding, young scientist Peter
Weismans Mexican bride-to-be tells him a secret that has
been kept in her family for generations. The secret of a
device of infinite power. A good man -though naive-
Weisman betrays his wifes trust. The device is taken
from its keepers and men are murdered.
The device
is transported to England and a covert
research facility is set up, with Weisman leading the
team. Soon though, he discovers the true nature of the
device and its capacity for destruction. He quits, the
team folds and the device is locked away, until...
England - present day
...a
Russian naval port is totally obliterated. First
reports point to a nuclear accident. However, TV
journalist Katherine Rodriguez has her own theory, and
when Kates erstwhile lover -intelligence officer David
Ross- turns up at her place with a killer on his tail,
her theory becomes a certainty.
Events
occur that throw Kate, Ross, Rosss boss Marcus
Leland and the ageing Professor Weisman together in a
race against an unseen enemy. They cross the Atlantic in
an endeavour to return the ancient device to the place
from which it was taken all those years ago.
Mexico
Their
goal in sight, our crew become the victims of
treachery. Weisman turns to his old family member Bill,
the Mayor of Santa Maria. More help arrives from
unexpected quarters and our friends triumph. Kate and
Ross find their way back to each other and Weisman, at
last, finds redemption.
...the great mound had been opened and the keepers looked one last time on the face of the God.
