In my most recent work I started to compose inside circles in stead of squares. I have been fascinated by this format for a long time and finally decided to give it a try.

In artistic terms, the circle, when used as a limit for composition is called "Tondo" and it has been used since Greek antiquity, but it was commonly used during the Manneristic period (late 16th century).
