  • Free Chinese dictionary
Very good graphic interphase and explanation on stroke order, simplified vs. traditional mandarin etc. The only thing missing to make it a complete chinese tutor, is sound. Also visit their Learn Chinese pages. They are getting quite extensive.

  • Wenlin Institute Software for Learning Chinese
    - Seems quite good, but costs money..rules me out. It has a free downloadable demo though.

  • RichWin Software
    - Richwin can effectively open files with chinese names in English windows. Display characters, rename files etc. Hibernates in your systemtray, Chinese menu.

  • Ingar Holst Publishing Co.
    - Company working on an online Chinese-Norwegian Dictionary, immensely useful for me, if they get it going.
