Are you related to Knute Rockne?

I get countless emails and inquiries from people who believe they are related to
Knute Rockne. Many of you may think that there was only one Rockne family
in Voss. There was in fact at least 3-4 different families.

Back in the old days people changed their names when they moved to a new
place. E.g. If a farmer named Olsen moved to the farm called Rokne, he would
take the name Rokne. Way, way back the Rockne line we belong to was called
Bø and came from Raundalen. The name was changed to Rokne when they
moved to Rokne in Bordalen.

So my best advice to you is that if you can not find your name (or the name your
looking for) in this family tree than you're probably not related to Knute Rockne.
Of course this tree has many empty places to there's always a possibility.

Just have in mind that there are more than one Rokne line in Voss.
