As a devoted fan of both Home and Away and Belinda Emmett, I was greatly shocked by the news of Belinda recently been diagnosed with breast cancer appears to be a soap storyline, rather than a real life situation.

In fact, one that has previously featured on Home and Away.

 Perhaps Belinda`s situation may remind women that breast cancer is not something that affects only an older age group, but a disease of which every woman should be aware. A 1998 TV Week Silver Logie nominee, Belinda is an incredibly talented young actress and singer and I hope everyone will join with me in wishing her luck for her for coming surgery and providing support as she battles the disease.
