BELINDA Emmett is putting the finishing touches to her new album, for release in March.

"It's been a great thing to do and I'm really looking forward to its launch," said the former soapie star who is battling cancer.

"We've still got some final touches to make, but it's all come together.

"Having written the songs, it really means something to me," she said.

Emmett guest stars with husband Rove McManus on ABC TV's Spicks and Specks: A Very Specky Christmas on Sunday at 7.30pm.
