Sathya Sai Baba loves to tell people in interviews that they have ‘monkey minds’ and raises a laugh by saying they do not have monkey minds, but ‘mad monkey minds’. Interviewees laugh willingly with glee at others expense. How charming!
However, Sathya Sai Baba himself continually traps people to become his devotees by the famous monkey-catching method (being unable to let go of a peanut in a pot with a narrow neck). Making them think they have found the one who has THE ANSWERS to everything, he tells devotees never to let go of him (the Divine Avatar of the Age come to save mankind), always hang on to the belief in him whatever happens.
